About the Role
This individual must provide excellent customer service as well as perform the duties necessary to support the clinic and assist our veterinarians. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented, reliable, self-starting, and genuinely care and be concerned for our patients' well-being. Previous work experience or graduation from an accredited RVT program is preferred. Some Saturdays are required each month.
Qualifications
Previous work experience or graduation from an accredited RVT program is preferred.
Job requirements include but are not limited to:
- Working directly with veterinarians and technicians to provide excellent patient care
- Work independently after training
- Multi-task in a busy environment
- Follow written and verbal instructions
- Acquire patient history/vitals signs during appointments
- Blood draws
- Properly preparing laboratory samples
- Taking radiographs
- Check-in in patients and discharging patients from surgery or hospitalization
- Maintaining patient records using computerized medical records
- Administering medications as directed by veterinarian
- Creating invoices/estimates for services provided
- Filling medications
- Proper animal restraint
- Professional interaction/communication with clients
- Genuine joy, patience, and compassion for our patients

Salary
$13-$16 per hour, negotiable pending experience +/- board certifications for RVTs
