Job Type: Full-Time/Part-Time, Morning, Evening, and Weekend Shifts
Reports to: Kennel Assistant Manager

At Main St. Veterinary Hospital, we’re on a mission to provide top-notch care to pets (and their humans), and our kennel assistants are the unsung heroes who keep tails wagging behind the scenes.

🐶 What You'll Do (a.k.a. Your Tail-wagging Responsibilities):

  • Greet furry guests like the VIPs they are – from anxious tabbies to excited Labradors

  • Maintain clean, cozy, and safe kennel environments – sparkle and fur-free is the goal

  • Feed, water, walk, and snuggle pets like they’re your own

  • Assist with bathing, grooming prep, and general pet pampering

  • Help veterinary techs and doctors with handling animals during exams and treatments

  • Monitor pets for signs of stress, illness, or mischief – you're their eyes and ears!

  • Perform laundry duties (yes, fluffy towels matter), sanitize surfaces, and restock supplies

  • Provide love, patience, and occasional baby talk – it is part of the job

🐾 What We’re Looking For:

  • Passion for animals and a heart big enough to hold a Great Dane’s affection

  • A strong stomach – because not all jobs smell like roses

  • Ability to lift 40+ lbs, bend, squat, and move quickly when that Chihuahua makes a break for it

  • Team spirit, reliability, and a “no task too small” attitude

  • Experience in animal care is a plus, but we’ll train the right human!

  • Sense of humor required. Must love drool.
